About Manoverboard
Design for Principled Companies and Organizations
We have designed websites for dozens of businesses and organizations over the past ten years, including Vice Presidents Al Gores sustainable investment firm, MIT, the United Nations, Johnson & Johnson, and retailer EQ3.
We love creating new things from the ground up and rethinking what isnt working. We design websites big and small as well as corporate identities, annual reports and print materials of all shapes and sizes. We play well with others—and especially clients seeking social and environmental impact through principled growth.
We believe that good design and technology are inseparable. Alone, these tools act as decoration and showmanship. Together, design and technology have the power to enlighten, clarify and compel.
Manoverboard, now in its second decade, is run by Andrew Boardman, designer of the first Barneys New York ecommerce website. We started in New York. We now call Winnipeg home and work with clients all over the world.

Andrew Boardman
Andrew Boardman is the founder, lead designer and driving force behind Manoverboard. Trained in the fine arts, he gravitated to design after working for the Rockefeller Foundation and Oven Digital in New York City. “Saving the world one design at a time” is Andrew's personal mission—and not simply a tagline on website. He serves in the capcity of Vice President on the board of the Manitoba chapter of the Graphic Designers of Canada and works in the community in numerous capacities. Andrew runs, reads, and writes but not always in that order.
Andrew received a BA magna cum laude in Art and English from Brown University, Phi Beta Kappa. He holds an MFA from the State University of New York and received a Fulbright Fellowship to study 20th century cultural and visual history in Poland.
