Andrew Boardman
Andrew runs and manages MANOVERBOARD. He brings to his company a sincere desire to make the visually complicated and rich world a finer, more intuitive, and better place.
Andrew designed his first website in 1995. An early blogger, he created his first blog in 2000. He worked on Tiffany & Co.'s first e-commerce site. In 2003, he designed the first e-commerce site for Barneys New York. His hands-on approach and personal attention to detail help guide clients to their own success.
Andrew received a B.A. Magna Cum Laude in Honors Art and Honors English from Brown University. He was elected Phi Beta Kappa at Brown and went on to receive his M.F.A. from the University at Albany. Andrew is the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship for the study of visual culture in Poland and a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship for painting.
Previous to MANOVERBOARD, Andrew worked as Director of Research at OVEN Digital, an international Web design company based in New York City. There, he worked on websites for IBM, The City of New York, and Cadwalader (the oldest law firm in the U.S.). He also worked at The Rockefeller Foundation directing Web development and research for a leadership training fellowship.
A testimonial about Andrew [blush]
"I cannot recommend Andrew highly enough. He is the best graphic designer I've ever worked with, and I've worked with many. His designs are gorgeous and smart, and he can consistently hit exactly the right tone for your brand—I've worked with him twice on two extremely different brands, and he nailed each one. Additionally, just the process of speaking to him will make your business stronger—he asks all the right questions. He will continue to ask questions until your entire business model makes sense to him, and he sees the way that his designs can contribute to its success. His designs are perfect because he forces you to perfect the way you speak about your business, and then takes it from there. If he weren't amazing enough already, I might add that he is always on deadline. I've never encountered another designer that is always on deadline. Perhaps this endorsement sounds too hyperbolic, but if you knew me, you'd know I was an extremely critical person who is never happy with anyone's work. Andrew is one of the few exceptions. There is truly nothing wrong with him—he's the best at what he does and is a joy to work with. I would hire him again in a split second, and I don't believe you can do better than Andrew."
