April 2004: Four New Sites.
The MANOVERBOARD Telegraph, No. 12.
Welcome to the April 2004 Telegraph, the home of MANOVERBOARD news and views. This month we introduce four new MANOVERBOARD websites. We have been busy.
Doubet Consulting
Doubet Consulting approached MANOVERBOARD to launch the company's first presence on the web. Managing Director Beth Silver wanted to produce a distinct identity that would connote the power of idea-driven business strategy and a website that could easily deliver its new messaging to an audience of small and mid-sized companies. After a thorough study of the company and its business and marketing strategy services, MANOVERBOARD created a logo that suggests passion, assuredness, and planning. The logo and the subsequent website reference the idea of targets and pipelines, which are key metaphors for the personalized and customer-focused service Doubet Consulting provides every client. Beth writes, "When working with MANOVERBOARD on this project, we were able to look at ourselves, as we look at our clients. Our overall branding initiatives are clearer and on point. I could not be happier with MANOVERBOARD's work on this project."
Canopy Designs, Ltd.
A renowned home accessories and lighting design company based in Long Island City, Canopy Designs, Ltd. required an updatable online catalogue for its many interior design and retail clients based throughout the U.S. The website's product catalogue needed to accommodate the company's regular creation and display of new chandeliers, sconces, lamps, fixtures, jewelry, and other items. Working closely with Canopy's owner and designer, Merrie Shinder, and the company's graphic designer, MANOVERBOARD created a sophisticated site and content management system that will allow the company to easily update products and give select clients access to its complete catalogue.
Hendrickson Custom Cabinetry
With a reputation for excellence and a rapidly growing clientele, Hendrickson Custom Cabinetry came to MANOVERBOARD to create a new identity, website, and stationery system. Producing and installing customized kitchens, bathrooms, dressing rooms and living rooms for residences in the New York metropolitan region, HCC requested a clean, photography-based website that could clearly showcase its custom millwork, engineering, and attention to detail. MANOVERBOARD created a logo and website for HCC that both calls attention to and emulates the clean lines and craftsmanship that are a mark of the company's standing in the architecture and interior design industry.
stone circles
Based in Durham, North Carolina, stone circles is an innovative nonprofit dedicated to "sustaining activists and supporting the work of justice through spiritual practice and principles." stone circles required a complete redesign of its website that highlights its social change work and its experiential projects and programs. Using a warm, rich color palette and clear navigation, MANOVERBOARD has provided a website that allows visitors to find information about the organization with ease. The site is built to Level A compliance to Website Accessibility Initiative standards, providing accessibility to those with visual and other disabilities.
