July 2005: The Relocation.

I have great news for both MANOVERBOARD and my clients. During the next few weeks, MANOVERBOARD will become an international company. My wife, who is Canadian, wants to return to her country. And I'm going with her!
My family and I will be relocating to Winnipeg, Canada, and I'll be taking MANOVERBOARD with us. It's an extremely exciting opportunity, as MANOVERBOARD will keep its business footprint in Brooklyn, New York, while continuing to explore business in a very fast-growing Canadian economy. I'll be able to bring new ideas from Canada to all of my clients and can expand the company in many new ways. Hopefully this is not a surprise to you as I've tried to reach all of clients personally over the past few weeks.
Perhaps the most surprising thing about all of this to me is that MANOVERBOARD clients are a loyal bunch. Not one has reported uncertainty with this move. In fact, new projects are coming in this week. I promise all of you that the work will continue to be of the highest quality and at the value you have come to expect from MANOVERBOARD.
What will change?
Zilch. The only thing that will change is the place that I'll pick up the phone. I'll have a new office in Canada and a presence in Brooklyn to serve clients in New York.

What does it mean for clients?
While the news is bittersweet because I love New York City and everything it offers, I'm always striving for a better work/life balance. This move will give me much more time to build the business.
I've taken careful steps during the past few months to prepare for this move. There will effectively be two places of business for MANOVERBOARD. The new actual address for the company is 320 7th Avenue, #182, Brooklyn, NY 11215.
Most importantly, ALL contracts and ALL ongoing engagements will be honored and respected and all projects will be completed as agreed upon in those contracts. If you have any questions, please let me know.
I Heart New York
Although my family and I are moving to Canada, New York will continue to be my second home. (After all, I promised my mother that I'll return regularly.) MANOVERBOARD has a tremendous number of business, personal, family and partner contacts in New York City and I will be in the city regularly.
Timeline
I'll be taking vacation during the weeks of July 25 to August 5 for the move. During this time, I'll have limited access to emails and websites but I will reply to all questions and needs. I appreciate your patience during the transition and my goal is that it will not inconvenience you in any way.
Things have been good here and I'd love to hear what you've been up to as well. Please let me know your new news and any success stories you might want to reveal to The Telegraph.
