- Andrew Boardman is one of the best listeners I know. He cares deeply about his projects and the people with and for whom he designs. We could not have had a better experience working with him and his design work helped us communicate more effectively who Acumen Fund is.

Acumen Fund
Funded with early grants from The Cisco Foundation and The Rockefeller Foundation and three individuals in 2001, Acumen Fund developed a new philanthropic model for distributing and investing funds to address global issues. The organization asked MANOVERBOARD to create an identity that would resonate with both innovative funders and established, traditional investors.
MANOVERBOARD created for Acumen Fund a bold logo that could be used throughout its new marketing efforts. Using the combined metaphor of an eye and a wave to communicate both compassion and transformation, the logo has been in constant use for seven years.
After providing the new identity, MANOVERBOARD created the organization's initial stationery system, consisting of business cards, letterhead, envelopes and labels. An easy-to-use style guide indicated how the logo could and should be used throughout its new marketing efforts. Also, a series of presentation templates and a press kit were designed for Acumen Fund. In 2001 and again in 2003, MANOVERBOARD created and developed a unique and polished website that helped establish establish the organization as a serious and committed innovator in the field of global philanthropy.
