Barneys

In 2003, MANOVERBOARD redesigned the Barneys New York website. As a luxury retailer with 38 stores throughout the U.S., Barneys required a new and sophisticated means to fulfill its customers' high expectations online. Translating the 84-year old Barneys brand to the growing world of luxury online retailing, MANOVERBOARD provided design conceptions, a bold interface, new iconography, and ongoing creative direction for the project and numerous sub-sites.

MANOVERBOARD met with all of Barneys' key management and creative staff to realize the company's vision. The e-commerce site, Barneys' first, was built in collaboration with four additional technology, project management, and usability vendors.

The site was powered by a sophisticated content and account management system and was easily updated by Barneys' in-house staff.

The Barneys New York website received Macromedia's Site of the Day award in 2004.

MANOVERBOARD continued to provided ongoing design, creative direction and site implementation to Barneys New York until late 2005.
