Barneys New York
In 2003, Manoverboard redesigned the Barneys New York website. With 38 stores throughout the U.S., the luxury retailer required a new and sophisticated means to fulfill its customers’ high expectations online. Translating the 84 year-old Barneys New York brand to the growing world of online retailing, Manoverboard provided a bold interface, new iconography, and ongoing creative direction for the project and numerous sub-sites. As the first Flash-based e-commerce website, it was built in collaboration with four other technology, management, and usability vendors. The Barneys New York website received Macromedia’s Site of the Day award in 2004.
We were very happy with the Barneys.com site that Manoverboard built in 2003. The cool design and user-friendly functionality of the site well represented the sophistication of the Barneys brand. Web sales exceeded our expectations.
