- Even though it has been a short time that HeartShare has been working with Andrew, Michael and Tim at MANOVERBOARD, our working relationship has been wonderful. The comments we receive on our website are always positive—they really understood what we were looking for and wanted to convey to our audience. They are easy to work with and very responsive to our requests."
- —Tricia Fleming, Director of Communications, HeartShare Human Services of New York
HeartShare
In 2005, HeartShare Human Services of New York, one of the oldest non-profit organizations in the city, asked MANOVERBOARD to create and build a revised website for its new marketing and communication efforts. The organization, assisting over 17,000 New Yorkers annually, requested a vibrant, open, and visually engaging site that would help it attract new donors, employees, and clients.
Working closely with its staff, MANOVERBOARD created a bold, vibrant website that showcases the programs, news, and resources that HeartShare offers the community. Included was a multi-page photo gallery that would help the communicate the powerful stories of HeartShare's work with children, families, and the developmentally disabled.
HeartShare's website is accessible to people with disabilities, a core constituency of the organization. Whether the site is experienced by the blind with screen readers or the visually challenged with enlarged fonts, the site serves its visitors.
After the site's launch, MANOVERBOARD trained HeartShare staff to manage and update its website using standards-compliant XHTML and CSS code. The site continues to grow and develop. MANOVERBOARD provides design services to HeartShare, including regular email newsletters and technical consulting.
