We’ve all heard the story of the cobbler’s child who goes without shoes. Or the blacksmith who has a house with only wooden spoons and whose friend, the plumber, has a leaky faucet. At Manoverboard we plan, design, build and launch 8 to 15 client websites per year which doesn’t leave much room for “us time”.

The work of a designer, developer and writer is never really done. There can always be one more tweak, one more little adjustment, one more phone call with a client, and just one more eentsy second guess.

Last night Manoverboard had the amazing opportunity to attend the Red River College Flux Design Showcase. We had been looking forward to this event for some time and were even more excited to be chosen to be an industry judge.

It’s no mystery that we’re exposed to countless messages in one day (close to 5000). In a world full of meaningless ads, clutter, and fluff — it’s difficult for a socially responsible business to create a message that resonates with its audience.

On Tuesday we had the wonderful opportunity to get out of the office and travel to FortWhyte Alive for our Company Retreat. Being in such a beautiful setting gave us a chance to reflect on our progress as a team, recharge our creative batteries and explore!

New Year, New Wallpaper

Inspired by the design of our New Year’s card, this wallpaper embodies the whimsical side of winter that we all love (and sometimes forget that we love).
