We Are a Certified B Corporation

What is a B Corporation? B Corp certification is to sustainable business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or USDA Organic certification is to milk. B Corps are certified to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

Today, there is a growing community of more than 2,000 Certified B Corps from 32 countries and 60 industries working together toward 1 unifying goal: to redefine success in business. Manoverboard is one of the first in Canada and the first B Corp in the province.

Our Process

We have built our practice on a structured and humanized methodology of discovery, deliberation, and delivery. While our process is not very different from other design and marketing firms, it does ensure that you gain solutions and strategies with both integrity and purpose.

We discuss.  Asking a series of critical questions allows us to gain a comprehensive and candid understanding of your business and its marketing, communication, and operational challenges. Our dialogue and discovery process help us change minds and inform the world.

We translate. After further discussion, research, and follow-up, we sit and think, draw and write. We then design concepts for your review and find the right platforms and technologies. Your feedback is critical to our success together so that our minimal aesthetic gains maximum impact.

We produce. The solutions we deliver are people-centered and thoughtfully produced. Your audiences will appreciate elegant design and thoughtful messaging. We provide the training and skills needed to succeed. And your team will enjoy website and administrative tools that they actually want to use with a content strategy that supports your organization’s long-term goals.

What We Do

Web
We design and develop sites for desktop, smartphone and tablet. All of our sites are built to perform beautifully on mobile devices.

Identities
We develop original corporate identities, including logos, annual reports, stationery systems, and style guides. They all have tremendous lasting power.

Strategy
We build careful market, communication, and content strategy, as well as website audits and inbound marketing. We tackle some of the toughest issues around content, including governance and workflow.

Who We Are

Andrew Boardman, CGD

Andrew founded Manoverboard in 2002 in Brooklyn, New York. After working for the Rockefeller Foundation he joined Oven Digital, one of the earliest and largest web consultancies in the world. Andrew received a BA from Brown University. He holds an MFA from SUNY Albany and received a Fulbright Fellowship to study visual culture in Poland. He currently serves as president of the provincial chapter of the Graphic Designers of Canada and works in the community in numerous capacities. Andrew runs, writes, and reads—as much as possible in that order.

Daniel Lamb, CGD

Dan is an award-winning designer with a passion for responsive web design and development. When he’s not busy building websites, he’s teaching our clients how to use them. Dan holds both an honours diploma in Advanced Graphic Design and a diploma in 3D Computer Graphics from Red River College. Dan is an avid continuous learner with an ever-changing plethora of hobbies including kart racing, flying machines and photography.

Jory Kruspe

Jory is an award-winning and internationally recognized interaction designer with over a decade of experience. His passion for design extends into many disciplines and he always seeks to challenge the definition of design. Jory holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and Graphic Design diploma from Algonquin College. Currently he is an active judge for the Favourite Website Awards (FWA).

Robyn Kacperski

Robyn is a graphic designer with an Advanced Graphic Design diploma from Red River College. With an eye for detail, she has a deep affinity for all things printed and handmade. Robyn loves nothing more than cracking jokes, eating cake and experiencing all that Winnipeg has to offer.
